It's the Real West Out Here

When I first came to Steamboat Springs in 1970 I bought this old Homestead. There are several log cabins and barns around a pond, up on a ridge. The south-facing ridges give you plenty of sunshine and great views of the Flat Tops Wilderness. The meadows are covered with cattle and sagebrush and wildflowers. It's the real west out here — horses, cowboys and cowgirls, and open spaces. Click on any photo to see an enlarged view.

Lakes Are Rare In Colorado.

That's what I love most about my ranch, Stagecoach Lake. It's three miles long, half the lake is a no-wake zone, half the north shore is an elk preserve. Circling all around the lake is an 8 mile path for horses, hiking and biking that easily connects to the National Forest and Sarvice Wilderness Area. From almost anywhere on the 480 acre ranch you can see the full length of the lake. I love sailing on it, waterskiing, kayaking... just looking at it.

And in the winter, Steamboat has some of the best powder skiing in the world- lots of light fluffy Champagne Powder. So you can see why I love Steamboat so much, and especially my ranch.
